Mangas, Lot’s of Mangas!

I’ve kinda forgot to buy mangas in november, so I thought I’d do it today and bought 8 mangas at the train station in Cologne today. Ok, actully 6, because 2 of them are from another train station I stop by at on way home. Those two were Sekaiichi Hatsukoi volume 6 and Otomen volume 12. Yes, I know, I know I’ve been bitching about Sekaiichi Hatsukoi a lot and even though the manga is somewhat better than the anime, it’s still far from good, but I like to finish what I started and when I decited to buy a series, I usually finish it, no matter how bad it is. I think I’ve only stopped buying a handfull of series, like 3 or 4? And I’m determinded to finish Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, even if it’s just for the sake of finishing it! I have to admit though, I screamed in despair when they started a side-story in the manga. I thought this was only in the anime… how wrong I was…

The other mangas are: Blue Exorcist 6, Letter Bee 11, Maid-sama 10, Midnight Secretary 6, Hapi Mari 7, and Samurai Drive 2.

I ordered the rest online: Akuma to Love Song 5, Conan 74, Get Backers 29, Black Butler 13, Nurarihyon no Mago 13, Vinland Saga 4, Coelacanth 1, Ultimo 1+2

Now, that’s what I call very successfull shopping. =D I’m so hyped up, I love to buy mangas and if I’m not mistaken, I may be able to reach 1000 mangas with those, but I’ll have to count to say for sure.

Sakamichi no Apollon – Episode 4 & Korra episode 11 spoilers

So, I’ve been trying to catch up with my anime lately and this made me remember just how great Sakamichi no Apollon is. The pacing, the music, the love… Love Dodecahedron. Seriously, this is not a triangle anymore and I’ve just reached episode 4, while10 episodes aired so far. I can see no end to this, but… f*ck it, it’s awesome. We have Sentarou and Ritsuko, who’re childhoodfriends. They meet the new kid in class, Kaoru, who just moved into town and fell in love with Ritsuko, who’s in love with Sentarou, who falls in love with sophomore Yurika, who falls in love with Junichi, who happens to be Sentarous idol and seems to love Yurika back. And you though Korra was a mess? Oh, how I love these things.

I’m really rooting for Kaoru, but he did some pretty dumb moves, like… you know… kissing Ri-chan out of nowhere, while he’s perfectly aware of the fact that she’s still in love with Sentarou. For some time it actually looked like Sentarou had some good chances to get Yurika, until she saw Junichi playing. If the both of them get together and Sentarou has no chance anymore, this also reduces Kaorus chances, but I highly doubt its so easy. I’m really interested in the story and the characters, plus the music is awesome. Everyone has his problems and although they come from different surroundings, their problems are surprisingly alike at times.

My biggest problem? I can see a major dramatic ending and I hate bad endings. Call me a clichée-loving-chick, but I just like it better when the characters are happy at the end, although I perfectly understand and appreciate the necessarity for a dramatic and tragic end. It sometimes has to be tragic to work. Forced drama is the worst, but here and there it has to be tragic to work out and I get the feeling this anime will have such a tragic end that will make you cry rivers of tears, but will burn itself into your memory as the finale of a truly great anime. I hope I’m wrong and Sakamichi no Apollon will end on a happy note, but just as great.

On to Makorra. New spoiler-clip. It killed me. Right into the feels. See for yourself
So amazing! Mako and his adorable smile while he’s talking about Korra and… and… and… “I can’t imagine my life without you in it.”

These 37 seconds! Why are there only 37 seconds of this! But with this, Makorra is so going to be endgame. Noticed the way they looked at each other? Literally jumping at each other with their eyes? This is the perfect situation for a following kiss. I’m just saying, because the amazing way they absolutely dreamingly look at each other’y eyes smiling like love-stuck idiots. “Can you feel the love tonight.” Hell yes, I can, get those two a room. Now. The sexual tension is killing me and damn you Mako for telling Korra that you can’t imagine a life without her now. In the ears of a shipper this equals “We’re meant for each other and I will love you forever and ever.”, how can you do this to me? I’m in heaven right now and my faith in Korra has not only been restored, but reached new dimensions.

Ok, honestly, I don’t think there will be a kiss, but this promo is so explict Makorra, it jumps right into our faces, so… Bryke, stop the shiptease already and give me my Makorra, we all know they’ll end up with each other, because they’re meant for each other and all that crap, I seriously ship them too hard.

Chihayafuru episode 6

Chihayafuru has already managed to become my favorite of the season, but it’s getting better and better with every episode. While I thought the episodes in the past were a bit boring, it’s entertaining me a lot more now.

Also I think it’s funny that Taichi has always been in love with Chihaya, but never told her. Get a grip boy, but I can understand why you won’t tell her: she probably doesn’t even think about love at all, the only thing she truly loves is karuta and this is probably how far her understanding of love goes. And all this, although Taichi and Chihaya would make a great couple, if you ask me. No, not just from the outlook apperance (when those two extraordinary goodlooking persons stand next to each other, they pretty much overshine everything around them), but also judging from their character as well.

Arata might become a problem, though… since he was the one who taught Chihaya the joy of karuta and he’s the one she wants to play with the most, he has actually quite good chances, but I still think Taichi suits her better character-wise. Well, whatever, at least he’s back to playing karuta, as we’ve seen at the very end of the episode. I was very afraid this might turn into the quest to make Arata play karuta again, but the end of episode 5 was very heartwarming when he said he always wanted to be friends with Chihaya and Taichi, so it qas quite obvious he’ll start playing karuta on his own again, but very nicely done.

The new girl… I really like her. In comparison to Chihaya, she looks like a grey mouse and her entire apperance was very quite, but she turned out to have quite the strong will. It surprised me when she actually made Chihaya model for her parents’ shop and the first thing she did in the club, was making Chihaya and Taichi clean the room. Yeah, I really like her, I can say that and I can’t wait to see more from her. Now it’s just down to two more members and I’m very exited who that might be.

I’ve mentioned Chihayas good looks twice now, so I’d like to get this straight: I was laughing when I noticed that Chihaya, who doesn’t give a damn about what people think of her and who has a tomboy-ish personality, is actually prettier than her sister when she was her age, who was trying to become a professional model back then. Of course, the main character of a manga/anime is usually someone who looks good, but in this case they’re playing around with this, because Chihaya really doesn’t care and her outlook apperance doesn’t suit her character at all. I’d even call it a missfortune in her case, because it makes people believe that she’s the perfect girl and as soon as she goes into action or just opens her mouth she’s the weirdo and everyone tries to avoid her. She’s nice to look at, but nothing more. Good thing Chihaya doesn’t care about this, because this is pretty harsh.

Speaking about something harsh: I thought it was unbelievable when she was in elementary school and her partens wouldn’t even listen to her when she tried to tell them very proudly that she won the karuta tournament at her school. They were all over her sister, because of some modeling job and even allowed her to talk shit about Chihayas karuta-achievement, making little Chihaya very sad who actually managed to swallow her tears and laughed not too lang after this. What a girl, I felt truly sorry for her. 😦

Hapi Mari 27 – beware of the ex?

Shitara-san… let’s congratulate this manga to its very own bitch. I’m not quite sure how much she knows and how much she just makes up. It’s true that she investigated Chiwa, but it seems she doesn’t know that Chiwa and Hokuto actually love each other for real, even if Hokutos behavior does not show it outside of their apartment. It kind of confuses me that she seems to know so much, but not that those two are in love, they even told so some persons and part of Hokutos Family as well as Chiwas fathers know that fact. How hard can it be to find something like this out, when she already stuck her nose into other relationships Chiwa has.

Well, she’s obviously trying to destroy this marrige and the fact that she talks about Hokuto without a honorific shows that she must be close to Hokuto. She even goes and pays his father a visit or goes to parties with him, staying by his side as if it’s the most natural thing in the world. What we don’t know is the answer to the question: what exactly is Shitara to Hokuto? As for her, it’s pretty obvious she’s in love with him and plays the understanding, know-it-all perfect women. Seeing that he’s married must’ve been a great shock for her, but the fact that this marriage is supposed to be a fake gives her opportunities and now she goes and tries to destory everything so that she can have the man. Hokuto on the other hand… we know he’s been a player before he married Chiwa and Shitara is an important business partner, so he would probably try to be nice to her to keep the business rolling, if not try to have an affair with her in his non-married days, but he was never really serious. So even if there was something between those two, I think it’s safe to say he has not been serious – as it seems he’s now (with Chiwa) serious for the first time. Shitara on the other hand is very serious and might have missunderstood his friendliness or the relationship they had before and is now boiling with jealousy, because a women like Chiwa who obviously does not suit Hokuto (in terms of money and appreance) has snatched him away with a fake marriage.

Shitara really went too far this chapter. First of all, there was the lecture and it was very disrespectful, she went much too far. Chiwa doesn’t even know Hokuto this long, there is no way she can already understand such a complex person with such a complex background when he hardly talks about stuff like this at all and it was obvious she was feeling very, very bad while Shitara was lecturing her, but she still kept going and going with the sheer intent to not only break the marrige, but also break Chiwa as a person.

Then she went and investigated Chiwa, giving the report to Hokuto in person, so that he knows this was her doing, he should be thankful to her when he finds out about all the stuff that’s written in there, but seriously, what bad stuff could be written in there at all? Past relationships are the past, of course she was in love with other persons before, he had his affairs, too. Either there’s a whole bunch of lies written down there (or at least the facts are a lot dramatized, so that Hokuto will missunderstand), or everything about her past with this guy and her past is something Hokuto can’t get angry about, because his own past with women is not exactly innocent either. He’s been mistreating her a lot, Chiwa really had a hart time with him from the very beginning and still has although they’re in love, he really has no right to scold her, especially since we (as the audience) know that Chiwa has not done anything wrong.
