Bleach Chapter 475 – Thank you Ichigo

There’s really not much to say about this chapter, because nothing happend, aside from Ichigo giving a shit. And I have to admit Ichigo climbed a few ranks thanks to that, because he was strong enough to think for himself, come up with his own conclusion and refuses to be manipulated by Ginjous words. His conclusion doesn’t just make sense, it also crushes the ridiculous theory of Ukitake being the bad guy. And thus: problem solved and everathing is back to normal. Great, now Ichigo just needs to kill Ginjou and we can move on. Finally.

I’m still not satisfied with the whole spying-badge-thing, but at least the Shinigami and especially Ukitake aren’t the bad guys anymore. We’ve had this once, you know when the Soul Society-arc took place before we knew about Aizens plan? Shinigami were enemies back then, don’t do this again, it gets old now.

Nintendo Wii and Zelda Skyward Sword

I’ve never wanted to have a Wii, never! And now those bastards from Nintendo create another Zelda-Game for the Wii that elates fans and critics at the same time, many even speak of the greatest Zelda of all time.

Well, talking about old franchises, Zelda sure is the living proof you can pull off a great game from a 25 years old franchise, without half of the fans whining about it. Yes, I’m talking to you Final Fantay.

Nevertheless, thanks to Zelda Skyward Sword, I finally decited to buy a Wii. Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D made me buy a 3DS and so Zelda Skyward Sword makes be buy a Wii. Damn you Nintendo, if there’s one game that makes be buy a console, it’s Zelda. Just why are the Zelda-games so damn good? I love them, I don’t even play this many games, but I freaking love Zelda. It’s my favorite franchise of all time. Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda-game and what can I say? It’s still my most favorite game and made me fall in love with the franchise instantly.

Well, yeah, so I’m looking foward to receive my Wii + Skyward Sword the next days and I hope this game is worth it, altough I’m 99% positive it is. I’m very interested in the sword fighting, it’s being praised a lot and I’m afraid I might fail very hard at first. Going from A-Button-mashing to actual motion control based movements you need your head for, might become a very fun thing for me.

kaichou wa Maid-sama chapter 66 – Oh my God Usui!

USUI! Well, first of all: they kissed! Every kiss is awesome. ❤ But there was something even more awesome and that was Usuis smile right after the kiss. Oh you devil and your insanly sweet smile!
Oh my Gosh, oh my Gosh, oh m Gosh, oh my Gosh! How can you not fall in love with him, when he has a killer-smile like that? That’s against the rules Usui. xD I just love it when he does this stuff, because you really feel how much he’s in love with Misaki and those two are just incredibly cute. ❤

Life in a Day

And another non-anime/manga related post. yay.
Well, I just want to talk about this a bit, because I think it’s something really great and I was very moved watching it. I’m talking about the project “Life in a Day”, where they asked people to film their life on July 24th 2010 and a lot of people did. In the end, they created a 1 1/2 hour movie out of all the footage and there are videos from 190 contries in there.

Sometimes those people are very interesting or lead an unusual life, but most of the time they’re just normal people, living their normal day. Some things are very sweet and heartwarming, like a newborn baby or when a homosexual man told his grandmother via phone that he is gay and this grandmother seemed to be a very open person, because it went pretty well. I really liked that, it was so nice.

In the other hand, there were sort of unpleasent moments as well. For example some very ill people, or a cow that’s being butchered, a small boy who has to work as a shoeshine boy, a father living with his 13 children under one small roof and who’s unable to work, because he has to take care of his kids and their mother is dead. Well and there was footage from the love parade 2010 where a mass panic took place and 18 people were killed. This stuff makes you sad, but this is life and life is what this movie wants to show us.

There were so many different moments. Sleeping, eating, proposing, going to work, working, talking, kissing… everything. It was a pleasure to watch and I can only advice you to watch this movie as well. You can see it for free on youtube, so go ahead and just do it. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

20th Anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s Death

Obviously, this post has nothing to do with Manga/Anime, but 20 years ago on this day, one of the greatest musicans of all time had died, so I thought I should write a post about it.

23rd November 1991: the world got to know that Freddie has AIDS

24th November 1991: the world got to know that Freddie has died

I’m not a Queen-Fan, but I like a lot of their songs and especially their live-gigs were absolutely amazing. Freddie was able to control the audience like only very few others were and he had a truly extraordinary voice. He was very special, but he was living a dangerous life that resulted in his infection with the HI virus and thus, he died 20 years ago and left a huge shadow behind. Although Queen still exists and they had amazing singers, no one was able to fill the place Freddie left behind. No one has ever managed to sing his songs as great as he was able to, but some really shouldn’t even try…

Katy Parry for example made a cover of “Don’t stop me now”, but the only thing she achieved with this, is making a fool out of herself. She can’t sing this song and don’t even let me begin ranting about her qualities when it comes to live performances. Want to know what her version of “Don’t stop me know” sounds live? Well… you’ve been warned:

Why was she allowed to do this? WHY? I mean, this sounds seriously bad. Her own songs are quite ok as long as she doesn’t sing live, because she can’t sing, but why was anyone stupid enough to let her sing a Queen-song live?

For the record, this is what “Don’t stop me know” sounds like sung by Freddie:

What a difference and you know what’s the greatest part? Freddie was an amazing singer, everything sounded better live. I absolutely love this live-version of Who wants to live forever. This is awesome and it’s so sad Freddie had to leave us this early, but he will live forever, because he will be remembered through his music and generations to come will be amazed by his epic self. As for myself I was only 3 years old when Freddie died, but I’m nothing but impressed whenever I watch a live-performance of Queen with Freddie.

Freddie, the world misses you, the music misses you and people still love and respect your great music and your amazing voice. You were one of the best, rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.

Bleach Chapter 473: “What are you fighting for?” – “Because you’re attacking me.”

Yes, it’s that time of the week again: a new Bleach chapter ahs appeared! Kenni used… nothing, because she’s too amazed by the Gerudo Valley Piano cover she’s listening to right now. amazing

Ok, I’m sorry, my inner Zelda-nerd was showing right now, but come one: everyone who has ever played a video game has to admit that Gerudo Valley is one hell of a great song. And the only song in Ocarina of Time that is as good as Gerudo Valley, or maybe better, is the Song of Stroms. Listen to this piano cover, it’s pure epic: click here for awesome

And since I was going to talk about Bleach… let’s get back to the manga. °x° Actually there’s not this much to talk about, because most of the time the Shinigami were simply talking about random stuff, but I have to admit Ikkaku made me laught when he told Kenpachi he was lecturing his enemy. xD Oh yeah and I was right: Hitsugaya didn’t kill his opponent, because he wanted him to to lift his weird virtual reality ability… On the other hand: Ever since Ginjou told us that Tsukishimas ability will stop working after he’s dead, we can pretty much assume the same will happen to all the other fullbringers as well, making Hitsugayas effort to get his opponent out of the battle alive, pretty much pointless. He could’ve just killed him, in fact, this would have gotten Ichigo and Ginjou out of their personal “room”. So why didn’t he? Well, probably he has a warmer heart than he looks like? Dunno… Don’t get me wrong, I like how he handled his opponent and made a deal in the end that he will let him go, but in comparison to Byakuya who has just discovered his sadistic side and left knowing his opponent will slowly die, he seems surprisingly warm-natured for someone who’s labeled as an ice prince and who’s wielding an ice-type zanpaktou. Or maybe it’s just his age.

What I didn’t really understand was the question Ginjou was asking Ichigo during their battle: “What are you fighting for?” Because that’s pretty obvious: Ginjou is evil and he’s attacking Ichigo, so he’s pretty much forcing Ichigo to fight him. Yes, Ichigo might have begun fighting to rescue his friends, because he’s always fighting to rescue someone, but even after Tsukishimas effect is gone, his friends are still not safe as long as Ginjou is running around. He can’t let this dangerous guy keep going the way he wants, Ginjou needs to be stopped and this is obviously the reason Ichigo is still fighting, or does he need another reason?
